Duluth, Minnesota – (May 2, 2024) – Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP), a national, family-owned construction management and contracting company, recently hosted its third annual charity bean bag tournament in Duluth, Minn. The event sold out weeks prior to the tournament and collected $13,000 in donations, exceeding 2023 and 2022 donations of $11,000 and $8,000, respectively.
Proceeds were donated to The Northern Lights Foundation, a local organization, for the third year. The Northern Lights Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit that seeks to ease the emotional and financial stresses placed on families with children who have life-threatening illnesses.
“Giving back to the communities we call home is a core value at AP,” said Patrick Sims, Director of Operations, AP. “We’re thrilled to have raised more funds than previous years at our third annual event in support of The Northern Lights Foundation and their incredible work.”
The event took place at Clyde Iron Works and included a bean bag tournament, food and beverages, prizes, a silent auction and an afternoon of networking. More than 64 teams participated in the event, including local AP partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. The date for next year’s tournament is already set for May 1, 2025, at Clyde Iron Works.
